The family urn.

See the flower urn beyond the flags? My brother Bob has hauled it around for 40+ years. He put tadpoles in it when we lived in a big old house in the heart of town which lies somewhere in the mists down in the valley beneath flag pole.

It's been sitting, unused, near his compost pile for years. Last weekend he helped us create a new flower bed (we live just above their home on this hill) and I suggested he drag that thing up there so we could watch it in the webcam. Purple wave petunias will greet you throughout the summer if the groundhog babies give it a chance :0)

November, 2007

Such a lovely day for the beginning of November.

No dawn - no dusk - no proper time of day.

No warmth, no cheerfulness, no healthful ease,

No comfortable feel in any member -

No shade, no shine, no butterflies, no bees,

No fruits, no flowers, no leaves, no birds! -

November!

Autumn - 2007

It's been a breezy, warm fall. The fiery orange tree in the distance never disappoints.

Spring Fog

A foggy day in Loudonville town.
